In 1993, David W. Schaller M.D. began his medical practice in Steamboat Springs, Colorado specializing in obstetrics and gynecology. Since then, he has expanded to include a additional locations in Craig and Granby. Dr. Schaller is a member of the Yampa Valley Medical Center Ethics Committee, along with the Colorado Medical Society. In Dr. Schaller's spare time he enjoys photography, tennis, and spending time with his family.

Diane E.B. Petersen M.D., FACOG
In 2009, Dr. Petersen relocated to Steamboat Springs after working in the same practice for 20 years in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. With her addition to our practice, she allows us to offer not only general obstetrical and gynecological care, but surgical expertise such as hysteroscopic procedures, and many minimally-invasive surgical techniques. She is the only physician in Northwest Colorado that is able to perform the Essure permanent sterilization procedure in an office setting. Dr. Petersen is a member of the Colorado Medical Society, North American Menopause Society, International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, horses, and being outdoors.

Our Services & Team
Our services include annual well women exams, prenatal and high risk obstetric care, contraception management, infertility consultation, advanced minimally invasive pelvic surgery, Essure permanent sterilization, menopausal management, etc.
We have a team of 2 doctors, several dynamic R.N.'s, a Medical Assistant, as well as an energetic and knowledgeable support staff ready to assist you with appointments, insurance issues, and connecting with other community resources. One member of our support staff is bilingual, who assists with our Spanish speaking patients. Another member of the team is a state-of-the-art 3-D/4-D ultrasound in our office, yielding the most thrilling and miraculous images. We also have the capability to perform in office non-stress tests that are sometimes necessary during a pregnancy.
We participate as in-network providers for most insurance providers, including Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna, Cofinity, Great West, Medicaid, Medicare, Rocky Mountain Health Plan, UMR, United Health Care, Unity, etc.
